Performance & Art
We make our lives
from what we love.
– John Cage, composer
SO&SO&SO&SO
In 1976, Louise Steinman, John Marron, and I created an assemblage of movement & poetry & ritual & ceremony and called the evening SO&SO&SO&SO 7 Off Moments. John came up with the name, which stuck and found its root response in the breath-body-mind practices that continue to guide this joyful crossroads of inquiry.

SO & SO original performance works involve collaborations between artists of varying media, from dance and physical theatre to jazz, visual art, and spoken word.
“Trails to Treasures stirs up delicate whirlwinds in the imagination. It is a poetic language, which, in being the dream’s daylight counterpart, serves to awaken within the conscious heart parts of oneself otherwise asleep.”
