It's Been a Busy Week

a dance quintet in process

Loosely structured on a Monday-Friday work week, the dance/theatre piece is a subtle, witty, and poignant penetration of what lies under the surface of our busy-ness.

Eleanor, Elsie, Clara Odd Duck, Gregg Bielemeier, Chaplinesque Dorinda Holler, Swiss Alps poet, Elisabeth Tschalaer, SF transplant dancer, Stephanie Schaaf and Susan Banyas are collaborating, using Everyday Dancing concepts and improvisational forms as the basis for the work. "Busy Week" has morphed from a dance-lecture solo performed in Monterrey, CA at the International Society for the Study of Time.

Modeled on John Cage's "Lecture on Nothing," the "lecture' was delivered through movement and images that that were conversational and narrative without being literal. So, can you meet us on Tuesday? No. How about Friday? Oh. Okay, well please stay in touch.
