It’s Been a Busy Week is a collaborative ensemble project, directed by Susan Banyas, based on the playful and sophisticated Everyday Dancing form. This rendition was performed at Marylhurst University’s Art Gym as part of the exhibition of four choreographers and their visual methods-- Before/During/After -- curated by Terri Hopkins.
Gregg Bielemeier, Dorinda Holler, Elisabeth Tschalaer, Stephanie Schaaf and Susan Banyas shape dance poetry from the residue of a busy week and fresh discoveries in the moment. The music is by David Ornette Cherry and photographs by Christopher Rauschenberg, who entered the rehearsal and performance space and photographed it from inside.
"...The piece murmurs like an artists' lively dinner party." ~ Catherine Thomas, Oregonian
